The Power of Prayer in Our Daily Lives

The Power of Prayer in Our Daily Lives

What do we say when we say "I will pray for you?" and what is the most significant meaning behind it?

In Matthew 18:18-20, Jesus tells us about the power of prayer with this glorious segment of scripture:
“Truly, I say to you, whatever you bind on earth shall be bound in heaven, and whatever you loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven. Again I say to you, if two of you agree on earth about anything they ask, it will be done for them by my Father in heaven. For where two or three are gathered in my name, there am I among them.”

With Jesus, our Lord and Savior behind us, propelling our prayers forward, there is nothing that we shouldn't put to prayer. He has our will in his hands and he is guiding it from above. Once we give Him our total truth and we have complete faith in Him and his goodness, we can rest easy.

It is with our faith, and gathering our friends, family, and believers all around us, that we can gain strength in numbers, and with that, we can heal ourselves and the world. This is the power of prayer.

It is with this belief that we started Holy Pray Jerusalem; to shine a light on the power of our thoughts, faith, and actions. Light a candle now for yourself, for a family member, or simply for the grace and good of the world  we so gratefully get to witness every day.
